Dee Williams who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He then went on to create Centurions for Michigan after learning about human trafficking. Dee will be directing his talk to youth and providing wonderful resources that they can be aware of in this crazy world when it comes to what to look out for in regards to being targeted.
Dr Brenda Nordstrom and Ruth Rondon will have an amazing roundtable discussion. With this discussion you will learn about what you can do to avoid being targeted and Ruth will share her story of how she overcame from being trafficked and how she is now an amazing speaker who is willing to share her story and does so much to help survivors and provide awareness to this horrendous act of trafficking.
Officer Jessica Penn will talk about what he encounters on the road as a Michigan State Police Officer. Officer Penn also works with Truckers Against Trafficking, an awesome organization that helps combat human trafficking.
We also have Matt Kroll, Assistant Attorney of Grand Rapids that will be speaking about criminal records expungement for victims of trafficking.
We will be bringing in Steve Kardian in the coming months to train anyone that would like to be a certified trainer for women and children self defense. Anyone that would like to come to the Detroit, MI area to become a certified trainer we will have MORE DETAILS COMING SOON!
Steve Kardian- (Defend University) is one the nation’s go-to experts on crime, issues of women’s safety, crime prevention, and risk reduction. Steve has a demonstrated lifelong passion for the issue of personal safety. Steve Kardian’s vast knowledge of how the predator thinks can be seen in some of his investigative media work with Inside Edition and NBC, in which he lured 21 out of 21 women into compromising situations that, if he were real predator, would have compromised each of the women’s safety.
